Belarus plans to regulate the legislative aspects of volunteer activity and strengthen the protection of volunteers. The deputies came up with a legislative initiative to prepare a draft law "On Volunteer Activity". This proposal was voiced during a meeting of the Council of the House of Representatives. According to the deputies, this legislative act will emphasise the best features of the Belarusian people, as well as the traditions we carry through generations and challenges of time. Today volunteers take part in a wide variety of socially-oriented activities.
The Council also talked about international activities. In particular, the parliamentarians summarised the results of the Belarusian delegation's participation in the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum in Brazil.
