Belarus plans to increase hotel room stock

This is included in the new state program for tourism development. It is expected that over the five-year period the number of places in hotels and other accommodation facilities will increase by 1.500 – 2.000. Market experts note the insufficient choice, and sometimes the complete absence of vacant rooms in Belarusian hotels, especially in the summer. And this is holding back the growth of domestic and inbound tourism. Infrastructure development is one of the key tasks in the sphere of Belarusian hospitality. At the same time, Belarusian hotels are undergoing standardization to determine their "star rating".
