The university admission campaign in Belarus proceeds in an orderly and consistent manner. This was stated today by the Minister of Education Igor Karpenko. As it is planned, more than 26 thousand school leavers will be able to get free education. As for fee-based tuition, commenting on the increase in costs, the minister said the price has only risen slightly. According to him, in high schools of the Ministry of Education, this amount ranges from 100 to 300 rubles. Igor Karpenko pointed out that Belarus is developing a new government contract system, which is focused primarily on the needs of the economy and its prospects. The enrollment in economic and legal professions has decreased, a trend which has been present for several years already. More people will be admitted to technical and technological, medical and IT departments.
