108 years on guard of order and security. Today Belarus celebrates Police Day. The holiday connects epochs and destinies of generations: people who stood at the origins of law enforcement agencies and those who ensure security and protection of the country's citizens today, Aleksandr Lukashenko noted. The Head of State has thanked all those who continue the traditions of loyal service to the law and the people, veterans and current employees of the internal affairs bodies, servicemen of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus. "Every day you confront crime, protect the rights of citizens, often risking your own lives. It is largely thanks to your professionalism, readiness to act and take responsibility for maintaining law and order in society that we preserve peace and stability in the country", the President said in his letter of congratulations.
