Belarus and Iran aim to build a strategic partnership
This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives.
V. Ipatov during a meeting with the Iranian parliamentary delegation. Belarus and Iran have a common understanding of the processes taking place in the world and a desire to form a fair multipolar world order. The countries are linked by a 32-year history of diplomatic relations, regular contacts at the highest and high levels. In October 2024, the presidents of Belarus and Iran reached an agreement at a meeting during the BRICS summit in Kazan to sign a joint statement on the in-depth development of interstate relations. In addition, our country is interested in further strengthening inter-parliamentary ties with Iran. Belarus highly values strong relations and the level of mutual support with Iran in the UN and other international organizations.
