An isotope laboratory is being prepared for opening in Grodno

The construction of the regional oncological dispensary continues in Grodno, the construction of which is included in the state investment programme. In the summer of 2023, its radiology building was opened, equipped with modern equipment. The linear accelerators installed here allow to perform a full range of radiation therapy. At least 20 patients are treated per shift. Now the oncological dispensary under construction is preparing to open an isotope laboratory where complex radionuclide diagnostics will be carried out. It has a radiopharmaceutical supply unit, a radionuclide diagnostics unit and a radioactive waste storage facility. High-tech equipment, which has already been installed in the laboratory, will make it possible to detect tumours and clarify the prevalence of oncological processes.
