A unique project in the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War

To the 80^th anniversary of the Victory a unique project "Rarities of the Museum" was launched. Every month during the year in the halls of the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War will be held the presentation of one exhibit from the stock collections. Now visitors can see the "Gold Star" of the Hero of the Soviet Union Alexey Rokityansky. At the head of an assault group he crossed the Nyoman River into Lithuania, captured a bridgehead and held it until the arrival of the main forces. For this feat in March 1945 he received the highest award. The first exhibit at the exhibition "Rarities of the Museum" was a submachine gun made by partisans.
