A student of the Minsk gymnasium will embark on a unique expedition to the North Pole

Andrei Kireichuk, a student of gymnasium No. 27, became the winner of the international "Icebreaker of Knowledge" competition and will embark on a unique expedition this week. Together with other winners from 20 countries he will reach the North Pole on the board of "50 Let Pobedy" nuclear icebreaker. On 13 August, the ship will leave Murmansk. This year's expedition is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry and the 500th anniversary of the beginning of Russia's exploration of the Northern Sea Route. The programme includes meetings with polar explorers, astronauts, scientists, Rosatom executives and popular bloggers.
