The search and rescue team ZUBR of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Belarus has completed its work in Myanmar after the earthquake and is returning home on a flight that delivered humanitarian aid to the victims of the disaster. The Belarusian team continued continuous work in the city of Mandalay for 5 days. Specialists cut the rebar with the help of mechanised tools and manually dismantled the rubble to get to possible survivors. The work was carried out in extremely difficult conditions: narrow confined spaces, construction dust, heat, possible collapse of damaged and unstable building structures. The Belarusian team found and extracted 8 dead people from under the rubble during their stay in Myanmar.
