Draft National Security Concept and Military Doctrine of Belarus were discussed at a meeting with the President
The National Security Concept is being improved in Belarus. The document was presented to the Head of State today at a meeting of the Security Council. The draft of the new edition was approved almost a year ago. But the President ordered it to be submitted for public discussion. About 70 discussion platforms were held throughout the country. The document reflects new challenges: tension on the border, sanctions pressure, provocation of conflicts, and the deterioration of the situation within the country. With the emergence of new threats, society must be more consolidated. And the National Security Concept corresponds to the modern realities of the world and Belarus. New military dangers are also taken into account in the country’s Military Doctrine. The document was also considered at a meeting of the Security Council today. The task of all involved is to propose adequate measures to protect the country. The National Security Concept and Military Doctrine are the most important strategic planning documents. They must be approved by the All-Belarusian People's Assembly. This decision will be one of the first for the BPA to adopt.
