03.07.2025
The head of state noted that the holiday is a symbol of freedom and independence and embodies the memory about the heroic feat accomplished by the winner nation and an eternal gratitude of the descendants. “We are proud of our veterans and of everyone, who gifted us an opportunity to live and work in our own land. They demonstrated examples of unprecedented valor, tenacity, and patriotism to the world. By any means we have to preserve and pass on to the future generations the faith in the victorious spirit of the ancestors, in our own strength, and in our ability to tackle any challenges together,” the president said.
“Under no circumstances can we lose this Victory. It is the dignity of our nation. It is a sign of its greatness. And such facts are not lost in history. Peace, freedom, and independence are our legacy and the greatest values that we need to take care of and definitely protect. We need to strengthen the national unity, economy, and defense of our Fatherland. Every day and every hour. Doing it is the duty of contemporary Belarusians to the past and to the future so that our beloved Belarus could live and flourish!” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
He emphasized that if all residents of Belarus, including children and young people, take this feeling to their hearts, then all of them together will manage to preserve the quiet and calm country under a peaceful blue sky.
Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated everyone on Independence Day and wished them good health, happiness, and prosperity.
