Works from the funds of the State Museum "St. Isaac's Cathedral" of St. Petersburg are presented in Brest
21.04.2025
A unique exhibition "For the sake of life on earth" was presented in the city above Bug. The exhibition presents works from the funds of the State Museum "St. Isaac's Cathedral" of St. Petersburg. It is based on two themes: the first is devoted to the siege of Leningrad, the second — to post-war life. Many graphic canvases depict St. Isaac's Cathedral. During the war, air defense posts were placed on the roof of the cathedral, and art and historical treasures from various museums were kept inside. The cathedral withstood all the tests of time — the blockade and several artillery bombardments, but its walls were practically intact.
