The XIV Minsk International Christmas Opera Forum takes place in the capital from 10 to 15 December
Five amazing musical evenings await the audience. The programme includes Puccini's "Turandot" and "Le nozze di Figaro". Special attention will be paid to the premiere of a new version of the opera "Eugene Onegin", which is timed to coincide with the 225th anniversary of Alexander Pushkin's birth. This production will be the eighth incarnation of Tchaikovsky's opera on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus. The forum will end with a gala concert "The Legacy of Elena Obraztsova", where laureates and prize-winners of competitions will perform. In addition to classical works, the Forum program also includes bold conceptual experiments — the unique space opera "The Main Question" with a robot-artist in one of the main roles, which was brought to Minsk by the Chuvash State Opera and Ballet Theater "Volga Opera".
