30.01.2024
The "Kury" ritual was held at the museum. This is an annual cultural event in the Klichev district of the Mogilev region, which has been awarded the status of intangible cultural heritage of Belarus. The ritual involves children aged 6 to 14 years old, who walk around the courtyards in authentic outfits and sing songs, while fellow villagers treat them with pancakes and sweets. The Kury ritual marked the beginning of the relay of traditions. Every weekend, the Museum of Folk Architecture and Life, together with the Belarusian Center of National Cultures, introduces visitors to the rituals of different parts of Belarus, as well as the rituals and holidays of representatives of different nationalities.
