The Belarusian malyavanki are coming back

Malyavanki — the cultural heritage of Belarus. The art of painted carpets is revived in the works of modern artists. The exhibition of a folk master from the town of Glubokoye, Vitebsk region, was presented in the local history museum of Vileyka. The author — Svetlana Skovyrko, taking as a basis the work of original artist Yazep Drozdovich, she began to add modern details, colors and even embody on the canvas scents. The author's master class in the malyavanki style was attended by students of Vileyka College.
