Museum of Ethnography in Slutsk popularizes Belarusian cultural heritage
30.11.2023
An ancient women's headdress "podvyachka" and a mortars "on legs" can be seen exclusively in Slutsk. A rich collection of exhibits telling about the life and occupations of peasants of the Slutsk district in the early 20th century is presented by the local ethnography museum, a branch of the Slutsk Museum of Local Lore. The authentic collection contains hundreds of items: wooden and clay utensils, samples of weaving and wickerwork, folk costumes and peasant tools. All exhibits are authentic witnesses of history. The institution holds master classes on embroidery, knitting, modeling, wicker weaving and other folk crafts.
