Molodechno district revived the Belarusian ritual "Bogach"
24.09.2024
The Kupalov Memorial Reserve "Vyazynka" hosted the "Bogach" rite. The rite is one of the 4 main folk festivals in the agricultural calendar of Belarusians, which has been recreated in the museum complex for more than 10 years. Pouring grain into a common lubok and lighting the fire, as well as songs sung by our ancestors – the organisers try to keep the authenticity and colourfulness of the harvest festival. The organisers held master classes on beading, straw, creating a tapestry of autumn flowers and "vytynanka", a festive fair and much more.
