Gorky theater closes for big repairs

The capital refurbishment will go on for two years. The day before, the Culture ministry assigned a temporary stage for the actors and technical personnel of the Russian theater – it is the Palace of culture of Trade unions. The shows will start there in September. The old building needs an urgent reconstruction. In 2019, its internal part – the stage complex was modernized. Now, its time for the outside to be fixed, especially – the roof. A new sound equipment will be purchased. The acoustic qualities will get better. As it is known, the Gorky theater will open its 92-nd season on a guest tour in Sochi (Russia). Then, international shows will continue. The next one will take place in Nizhni Novgorod (Russia) on September, 21.
