Days of Spiritual Culture of Russia get underway

Days of Spiritual Culture of Russia have started in Minsk. Throughout this week, Minsk residents will have a chance to enjoy performances by a number of choirs from our friendly neighboring country. In total, more than 100 vocalists from 3 groups arrived on tour, who will present modern, traditional spiritual and folk performance. The day before, the first performances on the main stage of the Academy of Music were presented by the Gnessin ensemble of contemporary choral music "Altro coro". The conductor and artistic director is the head of the Russian Academy Alexander Ryzhinsky. The project Days of Spiritual Culture of Russia features a variety of genres. Thus, "Novodevichy Monastery" exhibition opened in the foyer of the Academy of Music. It features reproductions of ancient icons made by famous masters from the Armory, images of frescoes of the 16th century and items related to the life of some of the monastery's well-known nuns.
