Belarusian Cinema Day
17.12.2025
Belarusian Cinema Day is celebrated on 17 December. The date for it was not chosen by chance. On this day in 1924, the resolution of the Council of People's Commissars "On film production in the BSSR" was issued. The Belgoskino State Administration for Cinematography and Photography was established. A special event is held annually on the eve of the celebration. This year, Belarusian cinema turned 101 years. Over its long history, the Russian film factory has produced more than 2.000 films. Many of them were included in the golden fund of Soviet and world cinema.
