A silent movie accompanied by an orchestra was shown in Minsk
21.08.2025
A screening of Buster Keaton's film comedy "7 Chances" with live accompaniment by the State Chamber Orchestra of Belarus took place in Minsk. The first ovation for the Live Cinema Music project was in 2016, when the American composer Prutsman proposed to hold a film screening with the participation of the orchestra in the Belarusian capital before the opening of the new season. This is how the history of the musical project began. For nine years now, the American composer has been creating scores for the golden classics of silent films, which are performed in Belarus. This time, the dubbing of English subtitles in Belarusian was taken over by theater and film actor, Honored Artist of Belarus Vladimir Mishchanchuk.
