A Century-Old Creative Heritage

What was Belarus like 120 years ago? The photo chronicle in the M. Savitsky Gallery covers the period from 1900 to 1962. Cities and villages, the architecture and interiors of churches, ethnographic sketches, an apiary, and rafts on the Western Dvina. The photographer, Archpriest Pavel Volyntsevich, is the only clergyman whose name has entered the history of Belarusian photography in the first half of the 20th century. The exhibition features 180 original glass negatives and almost as many photographs.
