28.06.2024
In Smilovichi, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, the exhibition "17 moments of life of Arkady Astapovich" was opened. This is not just the story of a talented artist, whose works constitute the "golden fund" of Belarusian graphics of the 1920-1930s. This is the story of a man who shared his fate with the fate of his Motherland. Master of lyrical landscape graphics, Arkady Astapovich was a participant in the First World War and the Civil War, and died a heroic death at the very beginning of the Great Patriotic War in September 1941. The exhibition is taking place at the "Chaim Soutine Space" museum.
