Synchronized swimmer Vasilina Khondoshko earned the Belarusian team its first medal at the European Aquatics Championships in Paris. On 3 August, the solo free skate competition took place in the French capital. Khondoshko earned 292.3887 points for her performance, placing first among 12 finalists. This is the first time in her career that Vasilina has won gold at the European Championships — six years ago, the Belarusian took bronze at the continental championships in Budapest. Khondoshko also has three medals from World Championships. The awards for the solo technical program at the Paris tournament will be awarded on 4 August.
