The fifth stage of the Commonwealth Biathlon Cup continues, in which the strongest Belarusian and Russian athletes take part. Once again, the leader of the overall standings Dinara Alimbekova-Smolskaya rose to the podium of the tournament. After the second firing line, the Belarusian, who didn’t miss once, was 14 seconds ahead of the nearest rival. However, in the course of the last lap, Dinara's advantage melted away and, as a result, Alimbekova-Smolskaya finished second, losing three seconds to Russian Irina Kazakevich. The third time of the day was shown by Tamara Derbusheva.
