The European Indoor Hockey Championships among Women are due to launch in Minsk in a few hours.The Belarusian women"s hockey team holds the 6th place in Europe in indoor hockey and the 18th in field hockey, the same team playing in both sports.The European Championships are held every two years. Over the past 10 years, the Belarusians have won two silver and two bronze medals.The first matches will begin today at 10:00 at the Sports Palace with live broadcasts of matches featuring the Belarusian team to be available on the Belarus 5 channel. Admission to the Championship matches is free.The Belarusians will play against the German team today to face Ukraine in the evening. Another opponent of the national team is Austria.
