Dynamo Minsk goaltender named best goaltender in first round of KHL playoffs

The Kontinental Hockey League has named the best players of the first round of the 2026 Gagarin Cup. For the first time in his career, Dynamo Minsk goaltender Zak Fucale was named best goaltender. In the Zubrs' series against their Moscow teammates, the Canadian won four of four games. In none of those games did Zak allow more than one goal. Fucale faced 108 shots, saving 96.3%. As a reminder, the Minsk team's quarterfinal opponent was Ak Bars Kazan. The opening two games of the best-of-seven series will be held at Minsk Arena on 9 and 11 April.
