Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Belarus made it to the round of last 16 of the Samsung Open clay tournament in Lugano, Switzerland. The Belarusian number 1 defeated Richèl Hogenkamp of the Netherlands. Earlier Aryna Sabalenka had made it to the second round to face Polona Hercog of Slovenia today.

One more Belarusian player Vera Lapko who went through qualifying will meet Anett Kontaveit of Estonia.
