Year of the Snake-2025: Chinese and Belarusian students celebrated the Spring Festival

The Year of the Snake comes into its own today. The Spring Festival begins to be celebrated this year on 29 January. The history of the new year according to the lunar-solar Chinese calendar has more than 4.000 years. Chinese and Belarusian students celebrated the Spring Festival with a bright gala concert at the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts. The New Year's programme included festive songs, dances, martial arts numbers and performance of orchestral bands of the two countries. Among the festive events are film screenings, lectures, tasting of Chinese cuisine. The main New Year's dish is dumplings. Spring Festival is one of the most important holidays not only in China, but also in various East Asian countries. Celebrations, fireworks and concert performances last about two weeks.
