World Blood Donor Day celebrated on June 14

June 14 is the World Blood Donor Day. Annually, more than two hundred thousand liters of donor blood and one hundred thousand liters of plasma are collected in Belarus. Most often the donor blood is required when performing high-tech surgeries. In total, there are 95 thousand blood donors in Belarus, and over the last two years the number has increased by 10 thousand people. Today, unpaid blood donation actions are taking place across the country.
