Lists of "harmful" professions eligible for early retirement were updated in Belarus on 1 July. The document replaces the lists in effect since 2005. Key changes include the exclusion of professions and positions that have become obsolete due to the introduction of new technologies and changes to job titles. Furthermore, professions have been excluded for which no workplace has been certified as hazardous, and which have had "optimal or acceptable" working conditions for several years. The Belarusian Ministry of Labour noted that those who have already completed their preferential work experience under the old rules retain their full right to early retirement, and unscheduled workplace certification is not required. Certification results conducted before 1 July 2026 remain valid until their expiration date.
