A creative meeting was held at the Press House, where the participants discussed the traditions of celebrating Christmas in Belarus. It was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture, the clergy, and the Family Support Center. The emphasis was placed on the Belarusian folk traditions of Orthodox Kolyady. In different regions of our country, various unique Kolyady ritual features have been preserved. Traditionally, during Kolyady, believers would watch performances of puppet theaters, sing carols along with musicians, and meet near festively decorated Christmas trees with gifts and surprises.
