The parties discussed the current state of bilateral military cooperation and outlined development paths in areas of mutual interest. Pavel Muraveiko emphasized that Belarusian-Azerbaijani cooperation is largely based on the trusting relationship between the Heads of state, which creates a foundation for developing cooperation, including between the military departments. Kerim Valiyev thanked the Belarusian side for the warm welcome and emphasized that Belarus and Azerbaijan must strengthen cooperation, develop the exchange of experience and preserve common historical memory that underlies the fraternal relations between the two nations. Following the talks, the parties honored the memory of Soviet soldiers who fell during the Great Patriotic War by laying wreaths and flowers at the Victory Monument in Minsk.
