The memorial rally was held as part of the annual republican action "Belarus Remembers. We remember everyone". Not only Slavs fought for the Great Victory. Citizens of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan served in the Red Army. Only the latter on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War numbered more than 360.000. Their exploits, along with the Belarusian soldiers-liberators, are immortalised in street names, on honour boards, in memorials. Flowers were laid at the monument erected in Minsk in memory of Dzhumash Asanaliev by the CIS representation, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Belarus and the leadership of Minsk City Executive Committee. Dzhumash Asanaliev was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union posthumously. During the operation "Bagration" his squad was among the first to take the enemy's blow when forcing the Western Dvina. After the death of all his comrades Dzhumash Asanaliev fought the enemy alone. He killed 20 German soldiers, and when the Nazis surrounded the fighter, blew himself up with them.
