Countering terrorism and extremism, combating drug trafficking and preventing the involvement of young people in destructive movements. The meeting of the heads of special services and counter-terrorism units of the CIS countries is taking place in Moscow. The main topic of discussion is the complex military and political situation in the Middle East, South Asia and Ukraine. Last year alone more than 2.500 terrorist and extremist crimes were prevented in the CIS. These include more than 300 terrorist attacks, more than 100 crimes related to the financing of terrorism and almost 2.000 crimes related to the spread of radical ideology. Today, terrorism has become a tool for many political and economic issues in some countries.
