The nationwide event will kick off at the Constitutional Court. 14-year-old boys and girls representing all regions and the city of Minsk will be the key figures of the celebration. This patriotic event was initiated by the BRSM Youth Union in 2004. Over the years, it has gained widespread popularity among young people. Today it is rightfully considered one of the country's most important traditions. The passports presentation ceremony marks teenagers' transition to adulthood, allowing them to further understand that they are now full citizens of Belarus, responsible to the country and its laws. Constitution Day of Belarus is celebrated annually on 15 March.
