Road safety measures will be strengthened in Belarus

The country will strengthen measures to prevent accidents involving wild animals. To reduce the risk of such incidents additional protective barriers, animal deterrent systems, and special crossings on their migration routes are being installed along highways. At the same time automatic violation recording system is being expanded. Cameras already monitor speed, parking, and driving in public transport lanes. Two additional violations have started to be monitored since July: driving without a seat belt and talking on the phone while driving.
