Rescuers helped the elk make it to shore

An elk fell through the ice in Gomel region. Members of the Ministry for Emergency Situations came to the rescue. The rescuers used a chainsaw to cut the ice and allow the elk to get to the shore. As the animal was exhausted, the rescuers helped it to reach dry land with the help of a rope and a special board. The elk did not require veterinary assistance.
