"Potato Festival" took place in Minsk region

The "Potato Festival" took place in Minsk region. In the agro-town of Deshchanka, Uzda district, colourful local farmsteads were presented, culinary contests, food tasting and a summer open-air. The tasting tables featured dishes from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. School and pre-school groups of the capital region reminded about folk traditions. The place of the celebration was not chosen by chance; it is here that the only monument to the potato in Belarus is located.
