Since April, amendments to the law on citizenship will come into force. According to the document, the descendants of the people who lived in Belarus before the collapse of the Soviet Union, will be able to become citizens of our country in order of registration. The requirement of continuous residence in Belarus for 7 years will not be applied to them. Even the people who lived in the country before 1991 can get a Belarusian passport without a passport of the USSR. In other words, the rights of a citizen will be given to those who were aged under 18 before the collapse of the Soviet Union.
