This was stated by Chairman of the Central Election Commission Igor Karpenko. According to international observers, the elections in Belarus were democratic and open. 486 international observers worked in our country. They could visit any polling station. There were no restrictions in communication with voters. Representatives of the missions emphasised: there was a large number of media representatives, including at the polling stations, it was possible to share opinions transparently and freely. The Central Election Commission will continue its policy of openness in the future. The elections in Belarus were held according to all standards of democracy, and Western countries should learn from such openness of the process.
