New protocol of HIV-infection treatment adopted

A new protocol of HIV-infection treatment has been adopted in Belarus. It fixes a universal approach to the anti-retro-viral therapy. This means, all virus carriers regardless the clinical stage and the CD4 cells count may apply for treatment. Early therapy means reduction of mortality rate, improvement of health of the HIV-infected, reduction of the risk of infecting the partner. Application of the protocol will help improve diagnostics and the quality of treatment. The document comes into effect since January.
