New murals unveiled in Brest

Brest is celebrating the 82^nd anniversary of its liberation from Nazi invaders. Two murals were ceremoniously unveiled in the city to mark the anniversary. One is "Partisans of the Brest Oblast". The large-scale painting depicts a man and a woman determinedly working to bring Victory closer. Equally striking, but in a contemporary style, is the mural "Beloved Brest." A stylish and contrasting original painting features the city's symbols and main landmarks — from the famous Alley of Lanterns, the train station, and the stele to the Brest Fortress. The two art objects unite a heroic past and a bright future.
