National Bank: The share of Belarusians with basic financial literacy has risen to 43%

It is expected that by 2030, at least half of the Belarusian population will fall into this category. A national survey is conducted every two years. Today, financial literacy is viewed as a protective layer — no less important than technological safeguards. Up to 93% of fraudulent incidents involve social engineering. In the first nine months of 2026, both the number of such incidents and the total financial losses decreased compared to 2025, indicating the effectiveness of current measures. Trends also show an increasing shift toward cashless payments.
