National Archives introduces the history of the citadel on the Berezina

This year marks 215 years since the start of construction of the Bobruisk fortress. To mark the anniversary, the National Historical Archives presents a virtual exhibition. Rare documents from the period from 1810 to 1887 are available for viewing. The defensive structure, recognized as one of the best fortresses in Europe, played an important role in the events of the war of 1812. Since 2002, the historical monument has been included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of Belarus.
