Mound of Friendship gathers inheritors of Great Victory for 65th time

The Mound of Friendship is a unique memorial, which is located at the junction of the borders of Belarus, Russia and Latvia. Thousands of Russians and Belarusians came here to honor the memory of those who fought shoulder to shoulder with the enemy, organizing an underground and partisan movement in this area. Flowers were laid at the monument to underground Komsomol members of the village of Proshki on the Belarusian side and at the monument to intelligence officer Maria Pynto on Russian territory. A lity for the for those who died during the Great Patriotic War took place at the chapel of St. Sergius of Radonezh. Young people actively participated. An educational and patriotic camp was opened on the territory of the Mound of Friendship. For 6 decades now they have been singing "Katyusha" and lighting the fire of friendship here.
