Minsk is hosting the Second Congress of Scientists of Belarus. The forum has gathered over 2,000 delegates and over 500 guests, including foreign ones. The first day of the congress featured panel sessions held to discuss the main directions in developing science and international cooperation. Today the draft strategy of the development of the science and technologies until 2040 will be the key item on the agenda of the plenary session. The strategy determines priorities of long-term development of science and technologies and offers a set of instruments to improve the science and technology sphere. The document is supposed to enable new quality of economic growth and will help Belarus reach the international level in a number of areas in the future.
