On 19 February 2025, the Chinese Cultural Centre in Minsk hosted a thematic meeting Workshop 2025 dedicated to the development of tourism cooperation between Belarus and China. The event brought together key representatives of both countries, including Chinese Ambassador to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan and Deputy Minister of Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Oleg Andreychik.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the prospects for the development of international tourism. Tour operators from both sides presented their best projects, shared their experience and demonstrated popular tourist programmes that have already been successfully implemented. Special attention was paid to the creation of new tourist routes, as well as the development of cultural and educational programmes for Chinese and Belarusian citizens.
The participants of the event noted that tourism plays an important role in strengthening mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of the two countries. They emphasised that cooperation in this sphere continues to develop and the results of joint work are becoming more and more significant. The representatives of both sides highlighted the importance of developing unique tourism projects in line with the modern market trends.
The presentation in Minsk was part of a discovery trip aimed at demonstrating the tourism potential of Belarus. The event not only confirmed the aspiration of both countries to enhance partnership, but also opened up new horizons for the development of tourism. The meeting ended with an informal coffee break and a traditional tea ceremony, which emphasised the warmth and friendly nature of the Chinese-Belarusian relations.
Workshop 2025 has become an important step towards further developing partnership and building cultural relations between China and Belarus. The delegates expressed confidence that such initiatives would contribute to the growth of tourist flow and strengthen win-win partnership.
