A meeting was held in Minsk between Vladimir Kukharev, Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee, and Zhang Wenchuan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Belarus. The parties discussed prospects for further cooperation in economy, education, culture, and tourism. They agreed to strengthen further relations within the framework of existing projects in a wide range of areas. In February, guests from China organized a festival in the capital to celebrate the Spring Festival. Minsk expressed interest in holding its events in China.
