The history speaks through photographs! A photo project dedicated to two outstanding figures of Russian culture has opened at the Pushkin Library. Simon Geichenko is a researcher of the Pushkin legacy who devoted almost 50 years of his life to the Mikhailovskoye Museum-Reserve in the Pskov region, recreating it from ruins after the war. Valentin Kurbatov is a literary critic and prose writer who has published a lot about the famous Russian poet. The exhibition combines literary texts by two monumental figures and photographs by St. Petersburg reporter Yuri Belinsky. The Russian Museum-Reserve and the Minsk Library are united not only by the poet’s famous name, but also by common goals. A cooperation agreement has been signed between the institutions, and joint projects and exhibitions are planned.
